Moray has designed a very comfortable weight harness which fits onto your upper body as a thin vest that incorporates pouches for lead, which can comfortably carry 6kg (more is possible but may comprise comfort)

When wearing a weight vest we recommend still using your rubber dive belt, best use of a vest is keep 1.5kgs to 3kgs on your belt & the balance in your vest, this keeps you sitting flat on the surface pre dive, with wearing a rubber belt it seals the jacket so cold water wont rush into your jacket.

Lead
The vest has 6 pockets which can carry a combination of 1kg and 500grm weights. 
You can mix & match to suit your weight requirement.  We would not recommend more than 1kg per pocket. 

A harness can help with all these issues - back pain, sore hips, carrying too much lead. 

We recommend a combination of still wearing your belt plus the harness, wearing your belt stops water entering your jacket. Put 1.4kg to 3kg on your belt and balance in your harness.
